still sick

sick...sick...sick!

surprise! i'm still sick, and to make it worse, i have strep throat! ok, enough already. i can't wait till the weather warms up and kills all these germsies! i can't stand it anymore, i can't take the snotty nose, the runny eyes, the headaches, the crankiness, the coughs, etc... and you know there's etc... little man brought home the cooties and they haven't left. i just want to be better, feel better, i want asher to be better and feel better too. he doesn't seem to have strep and if he did, we didn't do anything about it. whenever he's sick he's just cranky, but doesn't exhibit any signs of "i need to go to the doctor for some drugs" type of behavior, felix's remedy is to let the bug run its course, which it eventually does. it runs its course to momma =). felix seems to stay pretty clear of the bug, or they just know he has a better immune system than i do, therefore i'm an easy target.

so here i am...sick. at least i have my drugs =).

sick again...abc

i know, i know, it just doesn't let up here. asher caught a cold about 3 weeks ago and he still has it. it got worse this past weekend. he had a fever and was super cranky. i thought i'd manage to stay clear of the nasties, but i caught up with me last week. now i'm congested and miserable.

ok, i'm sooo ready for spring! and someone please tell me why the temps dropped to single digits this past weekend! where's our warm up? darn phil, should have stayed in the hole =).

on another note...we were hanging out in the kitchen and to distract asher while poppa was cooking, i took out his a-b-c magnets for him to play with on the fridge. i started singing the song and doing the letters, when we hear a little chirp from little man...a...b...c...d...eeee.....WHAT! he did not say what we thought we heard him say!!! yes, folks, he sang abcdeeeee. we were floored, he kept on singing the letters abcdeee, didn't manage the rest of the 21 letters, but that's ok. he recognized letter "a" too, because i pointed and asked what i was holding (which was the letter a, by the way) and he said "a"!!!! and lest you think we're such great parents for teaching our son his alphabet, you can stop right there, we have to thank elmo for that. his latest obsession. yes my friends and family we have got a t.v. baby who's learning from elmo. oh, well it was bound to happen.
